Ok, other than milling the axles on a micro lathe from stainless steel round stock, where would one find a bulk supply of axles, and the longer ones for the semi truck kits?

I thought it was illegal to have a monopoly on things??? China makes everything and it is getting harder and harder to find anything made in the USA. I have to say that even if I have to spend an extra dollar to two, I would buy the USA product before buying from anywhere else. (Get off your soap box Chief)... Anyway, I went down to the scout store the other day and bought the wheels and axles only and it is still made in the USA. Here is a link but I dont know if these are made in the USA, however they are not all that expensive. Has anyone bought anything from there before? and if so what is the quality? China CRAP, or Made in USA GREAT?
