Which kind of puffy pipe cleaner for bore polishing?
The craft ones or the dense ones for cleaning thight spaces?
Also is a single layer or do you fold it double?

I wouldn't recommend doubling it, you run the risk of scratching the bore with plastic. I think this is one of those things where there is no right answer. I don't use a specific kind. I use what you would call a normal fluffy pipe cleaner to apply polishes, and a more fluffy to buff it out. But again, many ways to go about it and not sure if this is correct. I tend to go with what is cheap and seems like a good idea, so probably want to throw everything out I just said.

For me it’s Qtip stalk, paper not plastic for the rub/cut, tamiya swabs for polish and sealer.
I am staying away from pipe cleaners even the fluffiest... that inner wire will tear through your bore like knife thru butter. You have to be ultra careful to not scratch the bore when you are inserting them and that part for me is difficult. And I am done re-prepping wheels after tearing them up.
Johns website has products specifically for these applications also which is HIGHLY recommended if they are in stock.

I second this response and when I can do so, will go this route as well! Till then, I have to be super careful/lucky.

I remember that vid! Its a good idea if you are using fluffies.
For Qtip stalks... Reecedad turned me onto the brand from Target called Up & Up (Target brand?) as the stalks were just the rigght size for bores, not too small and not too big to be an issue. Like .095 or something like that, cant remember. But they fit BSA wheels perfectly.

What size Tamiya swabs do you use? I have some mediums and the stalk barely fits through the wheel bore, let alone the head... I found these, but don't know how they compare to bore diameter: https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Cotton-Triangle-Xsmall-TAM87105/dp/B0026IBC38

Tried some regular pipe cleaner, but they became nappy and useless really quickly. Then there is the pokey wire to deal with.

I also took a look on DD4H's site, but the bore polish applicators were out of stock. Based on what I read that is fairly common for that item.

I believe it’s round “extra small” or just small. I couldn’t find my package to get the part number. The stalks are very small and the cotton end fits the bores perfectly.
A local hobby shop here sells various Tamiya products and I am blessed those are one of them.
I will shoot you a pm.

Look for part # 87104 or # 87106. Both work. Both should be "pre-sized" by running through a junk wheel first. Especially the round tip one.
