Well I know a lot of you have said clean the wheels, clean the wheels, and race on a clean track. Well I didn’t understand exactly why till last night. I have been trying to tune my youngest sons car for three days(building another one too) and it would not run a good time compared to before our pack race and developed a wiggle. Tried new set of wheels and axle still same thing. Built a whole new car made sure it had perfect drills, axles and wheels. Same result!! Frustrated last night so I cleaned the treads with alcohol and cleaned the track. My cleaning cloth was really dirty afterward. I ran the car again and guess what, no wiggle. What a waste of time!! Long story short listen to others on here and keep wheels and track clean or no matter how well you build your car it will not run right.

Thanks again to all those on this forum for your pointers.

It is true! I way over thought this problem to the point of complete frustration. A good learning point was the end state and I will always keep up a clean track and clean wheels for now on. That part is too easy. TRE you are the one that preaches that on here. Thanks for that!

Totally get that point Scott. Last years stage I raced in I did pretty good and getting ready to send in 2 cars this time and my Basico’s wheels don’t spin worth a beans on fresh simple green and X1. Yeah... but with Mikes’s help I am working on it. We’ll see what happens next weekend.

Good to see you jumping back in the fire Jimmy. I can't help you with the simple green as I don't use it. You are in good hands with Mike. Spin times can be misleading so don't get too hung up on them. Even if the spin times are not what you think they should be the only way to know for sure and to refine your skills is to race it.

Another good point Scott. After it’s slow spin I was all set to shelve him for next month if I can’t get it worked out tomorrow before heading to the post office. But you are right. If I don’t race it I won’t know.
