Wood species question

Does it matter what wood species is used to race with you guys?
I mean is there a rule that it must be pine of some sort?

no, any will work. or none at all. but pine is the easiest to work with and the best to use for the axles, just the right amount of give.

You can use whatever you want for the body, aluminum, kevlar, or balsa, you name it.
