Has anyone else seen this? Just came across it. I haven't had time to mess around with it to deem it good, bad or downright awesome. *cough*cough*cough* No clue at this point. It's an interactive Java program where you follow the directions in each segment, input your findings and then calculate your results to make adjustments, which appear in the empty boxes.

I can only assume this app is to deal with tuning bent rear axles. I'm curious to give it a try, not the bent axle idea! NO, NO, NO! The app people, the app! Can it find an out of alignment straight axle drill?

I think that was written by Stan Pope or Randy Lisano and it was a tool to help with adjusting your bent axles ala the Derby Worx rail rider way.

I believe it was written by Bob Florian on DT. Here is a link

And you are correct, it was for aligning bent rear axles. Prior to coming here and using the block, I used to do this. It is a nightmare as compared to using the block for drilling straight holes (or for that matter, even using the pro axle jig with a 3/32" drill bit propping up the body). Since the block, there really is no need for this as my rear wheels always migrate towards the nail head. Even after using this app, there is no guarantee the car will be fast. You still need a test track and many hours of spare time to devote to getting optimum speed. Moving weight to fine tune the COG is not even an option with the bent axle method.

Live and learn....

Yeah, that was just a guess. Been so long since I've used it! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif Thanks for the correction and giving the right guy credit.

I don't trust programs or apps, just times. /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif
Couldn't agree with you more on the times. But I would have to say that sometimes the less knowledgeable need some direction, not saying this would be the direction I would send them, as I haven't tried the app, but will be playing with it to see the direction it takes me from what I know. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
