Car and Track Clearance

I keep hearing to keep the weight low, so I was wondering what is the lowest you could go with the bottom of a car without hitting the track in the transition when using 1/4" cubes for weight?

It depends on how far back your rear wheels are.

Just try and center the weight on your rear axles.

Also the higher you drill you axle holes is the thicker your car must be to accommodate for the higher axle placement and to be honest the ability to build a thinner car would probably benefit you more than sinking the car a 1/16 lower to the track which is probably about all you could achieve IMO.
