I use a very small glue tip available at most hobby shops. I have also used small paint brushes or my finger tips to smooth the ca out.

Coating the fender with thin CA and a precision/point tip swab works well for me. The pointed tip is precise and the rest of the swab ensures even coverage across the wider parts of the fender. The CA dries on the swab dries quickly, so I usually use one tip per fender.

I prefer to use gel ca glue for coating balsa. It spreads easier and doesn't soak in as much as thin ca to keep things light.

Harbor Freight gel super glue 10 pack. I also use the HF thin as well for gluing seams and joints. Don't store the opened tubes on their side, cut a slot in a block of wood to hold the tube while not using to help prevent clogging and leaks.

They are cheap enough to toss, but you can also soak in acetone to get the ca off and reuse.

I just use latex gloves and spread it with my finger.
