COMING TO THE NPWDRL!

I feel like a kid at Christmas too!
A track that is permanently set up will be the PWD equivalent of the atomic clock in Switzerland.
This is really going to push things to the next level.
Bravo John for having the courage to push your chips into the center of the table. The odds are stacked for a big push to the next level.
This is going to be great!
Thanks for your devotion to this wonderful art form.

Hey John, this is great. You know I don't live to far away, so if there is anything I can help you with, give me a call.

What John is doing is massively huge and unprecedented,..thanks John for being our brave leader and to all those who contribute at the NPWDRL.

South Jersey. Do you have EZ Pass for the Garden State Parkway?

Yep! I call it the USPS. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I plan on helping out so I hope it's not there.
Hey Chris,
I want to help too.
South Jersey is doable.

Just as long as it is Christmas I want to toss out some ideas for next Christmas.
Some of these ideas might be more appropriate for 5 Christmases from now, but I am feeling lightheaded from the good news so here goes:

-A mini Goodyear blimp to get a birds eye view of the events.

- the zip line is great too

- a "media" car that will travel along the rows of Cars ,
Almost like in a parking lot, filming these remarkable machines.

More to come later.
Thanks again to the hardest working man in the PWD.

First off I want to thank all of you who have supported us and have helped us build and grow the largest pinewood derby league there has ever been. Your loyalty has been incredible through our ups and downs over the last few years. I am very committed to giving you the same loyalty by providing the very best racing experience possible. I pray that I will be able to keep your support and be able to provide the quality you deserve and have earned. After many conversations with Joel we both agreed that you deserve nothing less than having a permanent, 1st class venue to race in. I got out and found just that...
Here we go fellas! We have a new home for the league and business. A brand new building, 60 x 30' shop that will have a permanent track setup. We will be adding multiple cameras. I will make sure and have top notch internet so the feed will be hands down the best. I will have a 24/7 shop cam so you can tune in any time to see whats going on in the shop. There will be a retail option for you to pick up supplies locally and test and tune your cars. It will be a pinewood derby heaven. You deserve nothing but the very best.

Also we are changing a few of the race day rules to make it as fair as possible for the proxy racers.

1. Once the car is checked in there will be no wheel cleaning at any time throughout the entire event.

2. Once the cars are checked in the prestagers and the stager will place the cars on the track. The live racers can make adjustments to their cars and make sure it is staged properly. This will insure all racers are on a level playing field and there is no "over handling" the cars.

The Pinewood Performance Shop is BACK!!! Say goodbye to racing in the basement and garage! Now you will have a first class venue with everything pinewood derby at your fingertips. I am so excited to bring this back. Now is the time to start making your wish lists.

John, does this mean the racers can tune their cars on your tuning table (I assume there is one), run the cars on your track and make adjustments before checking them in?

Way to go John. Grateful for your "All in" approach. I think you have timed it right with the strength of the league (number of members and participation in races growing) -it was time to go with a permanent home for both NPWDRL races and a retail shop for DD4H world class products.

This will be a landmark milestone in the development of the league and your business. Congratulations for making a statement and setting the standards on the national PWD racing scene.

This is truly awesome news, the time it will save John and team will help immensely.

Congrats John and everyone!!

Sounds like a very good time to be involved with PWD racing.

I am looking forward to seeing track records set and broken since the track will not need to be taking down and set back up anymore.

That is awesome!
Perhaps if Chris is at the event, he would be so kind as to tune my car giving me real time updates/ clues.
This will give me an end product to reverse engineer things from.

The facility will be open for tuning. There will be a cut off time before a race.

Looks like attending racers will have an advantage over the proxy guys!

Cyc, you'll be alright.
Unless this guy gets a hold of your package/images/boards/smilies/eek.gif

Come on Cyc, what do you want me to do? Put in a dummy track and lie to you and say nobody is allowed to use the event track? Do we need to make a rule that you can't tune the car on a track at all to make it fair for the guys that don't have a track? Where do we stop? The mentality of making everything illegal that a person is unwilling to do takes us back to square one. The true fact is after a race or two on a track you can win racing proxy or finish at the top month in and month out if you have your own track at home set up right.
