COMING TO THE NPWDRL!

First off, these sound like great improvements. Having a permanent track setup allows you to do so much more. I look forward to watching the improvements roll in.

Will the new facility debut at the next race?

Regarding tuning ... I don't want to wade into that again. All I can say is that as long as NPWDRL provides the best experience for proxy racers then I'll keep sending cars.

It will be ready for the next or I will die trying. The proxy thing is a dead horse.

John, I think what you are doing is AWESOME!!!!!!!. For those that are starting to jump on the whinney wagon you might want to stop take a look at what John is providing us. When you finaaly realize what he is doing it might be to late for you.

John is working his azz off for us to make the league better, stronger and more consistant for all of us.

Just tired of seeing and reading the same issues that have been debated for months. Go back and look at Mays race results. When you get done tell me how many that won was live racers.

I apologize John.

John, does this mean the racers can tune their cars on your tuning table (I assume there is one), run the cars on your track and make adjustments before checking them in?
The facility will be open for tuning. There will be a cut off time before a race.

Looks like attending racers will have an advantage over the proxy guys!

Come on Cyc, what do you want me to do? Put in a dummy track and lie to you and say nobody is allowed to use the event track? Do we need to make a rule that you can't tune the car on a track at all to make it fair for the guys that don't have a track? Where do we stop? The mentality of making everything illegal that a person is unwilling to do takes us back to square one. The true fact is after a race or two on a track you can win racing proxy or finish at the top month in and month out if you have your own track at home set up right.

John, I didn't mean for my comment to be seen as a "complaint". If I had the opportunity to be there and race I would do the same. It is just the way I see it and I would not be surprised if some others have the same thought.

Cyc you have every right to your opinion. You are right a lot of guys have the same opinion.

Thanks John - I am working on some new ideas (for me anyway) for my next cars. I need something to speed them up!

5 of the 7 last series winners were proxy..i think that says it all

That was only true on the last race. Not at all the same ratio for the last 10 races. I think there were more this time because of the 60 foot track, and none of us had much experience at that length. e.g., several times Kinser came to the race and didn't test his cars at all, but walked away with everything.

I made a stupid comment above. I thought TRE meant 5 of the winners were on site. My bad!

Not bashing anyone just putting it out there...

Look at it this way.. Live racers do allot of the work getting the cars on and off the track.... I know not everyone can be there and I know not everyone can have their own test track.. To spend the entire day helping John get the cars down the track deserves a little something... I think it is cool they can test run, it also allows John to tweek the track if they find issues on one of the lanes... It allows them to work out software issues and of course camera issues anything can happen in this wold and the live guys seem to help it along... I know we all wish we could be live...

Have a Blessed Day Gents.... /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif
