What is the best place to to start for a competitive car on the width of the front of the car? I already reduce the DFW side 1/16, should I do this on the NDFW side as well? Should I use a guide pin instead of the wheel rim? Searching for a tid bit from the pros! Thanks guys.

Just my opinion, keeping in mind that I am not the best builder on the block. But I like the gap between the track rails and my front wheels (whether the NDFW is a pin or a wheel) to be between 1/16" and 3/32". So when creating the body, I like shave the front end of the block equally on both sides. Then when staging the car, I want the front wheels equidistant from the 2 rails. I usually shave the body block all the way down on both sides, then use spacers to be sure the rear wheels are at least 1/8" or more away from the rails.
