I'm looking for some axles for the basx class. The rules say minimum diameter is .084 but all the axles I can find that give a diameter for the groove are less then that. And the rest don't give a diameter at all. So what grooved axles can be used or do I need to get non-grooved ones for basx?

The grooves can be less than 0.084 inches. just the area where the wheel rides on the axle needs to 0.84 inches or greater.

Johns 92 or 93 tx both work. The wheels run on the wider diameter of the axle.

Ok, I am an aircraft mechanic when something says minimum diameter is
.084, to me then means the smallest part of can be no smaller then .084. What is the diameter of the grooves on the 92 or 93 tx?

I thought the same thing at first, but like others have said, everywhere I've been this rule is interpreted as a minimum diameter for the part the wheel rides on. There are no restrictions on how small the grooved portions can be.

I do understand what you all are saying, and thank you for clarifying, but I think the rules need to reflect that it is talking about the dimension of the axle where the wheel rides. so there is no confusion. Just my two cents as a new Derby racer.
