Does anyone know where to find good formulas for CM and front wheel total weight. I would like to work with shorter CM from rear axle to increase the snap off the transition but me thinks its important for better weight distribution in the front. Thanks for any help.

I would go get three low cost digital weight scales and take data- you will need it when you fine tune. some things are lost with calculations.
You can experiment with both back wheels on a scale and a scale under each front wheel, and then rotate the car and get the balance on the back wheels. You have to have a nice level place to do this.

The topics your interested in have been discussed recently. Look at the Weight Distribution thread ... also the forum search feature works well. I recall COG and COM are some of the relevant search terms of value

Yep - skip the formulas. 3 scales is the best way to go.

I agree with LB, the three scale concept is the best way to go, but in the meantime play around with this tool mentioned below. In the interest of understanding how weight shifts around with the slightest of weight change, the COM Visualizer is a great tool to help understand how the weight shifts around the car with a simple weight change. Understand though, this is just an aid, it helps you visualize weight changes and how the shifting weight changes at each wheel location. Enjoy the hobby and the questions that arise from it... sleepless nights lie ahead.
