Narrow front when running DFW rail rider?

Should you narrow the front half of your car when running a DFW rail rider? Meaning, sand the side of the body (front half only) that has the DFW by a 1/16" of an inch? I've heard some do this to make sure the rear wheels do not touch the center rail. Thanks!
 
It's an aluminum track.

On a side note, is it advisable, or have you ever heard, to angle sand slightly the bottom half of the axle holes so that the wheel hub has less friction when touching the body of the car? Someone I know just did that for their derby race. Thanks
