First off I'd like to thank The Iceman for a great get-together at his place after the event. Thank you for opening up your house to us, you and your wife (sorry I didn't catch her name) were great hosts!

There were a lot of great conversations going. Filled a notepad with all the great info. Unfortunately, I don't know were I put it. Now..... if I could only remember a portion of what was said. Big reward for missing notepad.

+1000, Ice it was so dang fun meeting you. To all the other racers that were live I can not exspress how much fun I had meeting you guys. Willy and I are here in the hotel we just got back from the Zoo and I already miss the live event! The after party was very cool, Ice has a sweet set up and your home is beautiful! Omaha is one heck of a race, the track was just awesome, Heck I need to start a different thread about this, Thank you Ice man!

Thanks guys! It was a pleasure meeting everyone and putting faces to names. Its nice to know how many great people there are in this hobby!!! My house will definitely be open again next year. (hoping the 21' bar will be done by then!) /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Note: I counted 22 pros made it to Omaha!!!!

Paul, I may have found your notepad, if you could pm me on four or five notes that would be in there I'll check and see if you're right. /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

I was busy typing notes into my phone every night when we got back to the hotel before I forgot any of the advice!

Sorry I missed it guys, but it was a pleasure meeting you all. 364 days of training left for next years race.

Ice it was really great, you and your wife are awesome thanks for hosting it. /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif

That was one great pinewood derby time right there.

Tell your wife we all thank her for allowing us to invade your home.

I was glad to be able to make it out for the race this year and meet many of you. I wish I was able to stay for the after party and socialize some more, unfortunately, I had a plane to catch back home. It sounds like it was a good time and it's great that Iceman hosted that. Maybe I'll be able to come out next year and join in for all of the festivities.

I am bummed i didnt make it..I went back to the hotel and fell asleep next thing i knew it was about 4 in the morning

I don't know where to put this, but this is as good as any.

It was such a thrill to meet so many of the guys at this race ! All real people, all with real families (some of which I met there) and I feel I know them so much more now. The whole community is really tight ... hard to imagine any better. It was just a great, great, great time all around.

Sorry we had to take off early, lots of life stuff to get back to now.

My favorite part of it was all the great food! Oh, I liked the 2015 version of DD4H UNLOCKING OIL SECRETS, I can't believe we got to be the focus group!

And we have about two months to see if we can take advantage of the info that was given out!

For those of you that wondered what happened to Maglev for most of the race, here's a pic of him in his hotel room building cars the night before the race:

He and laserman were up until the wee hours of Saturday morning building cars.
As you can see, it took it's toll. Here, Maglev does an impersonation of OPA:

In his defense, Maglev did a very nice job of cleaning the room after he packed up. I was happy that I had booked my own room though, rather than trying to sleep in "The Shop"! lol
