No room for a track?

Contact Best Track and get a sample section. My track is going in storage for a while, so I wanted to have something to build some cars on that takes up minimal space if time permits.
They had me send an e-mail with the length I wanted, then they replied with a price and PayPal link.
I got a 2ft section of track for $9.50 plus $12.50 S&H for a total of $22.00. They were super helpful and their customer service is awesome! With a super slow roll you can see how the car is tracking, how much clearance you have as you build. Having a track has been so helpful and I feel if you don't have room for a track, a close second is a sample section. In my opinion it will help greatly in your builds.

I have been complaining to my self for a while now that best track does not sell a small section that I could put on my building desk. Now I feel dumb, all I had to do was ask. Great info Skippy, thanks for sharing.

+1. The middle of last season I bought a 2 foot length of track. Really helps to be able to set a car on it to check clearances and see how it rolls and set it up for racing.

Wonder if they'd sell a section of the curve? Might be a bit more difficult to obtain, I'm thinking.

Hey guys. I've been lurking on the board for quite a while now, but I finally have an item to contribute to get my feet wet. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

FYI: I spoke with Steve at BestTrack today and was quoted the same price for the two foot section. I also asked about a section of curve/transition, and he told me they don't offer sample sections for that. Bummer.

Thanks Skippy Kicky for the great info! This will help immensely with my testing and for my Pack to ensure we comply with the silly "all four wheels touching" District rule. Don't get me started on that! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Sounds like I need to give Best Track a call and see about getting a few sections of track. Skippy, thanks for starting this post.

Just purchased this myself 12 hours ago (literally). Same deal. Way to go Besttrack...

I called Best Track last week and asked if they would sell me 8" stop sections to use for building cars. They responded by sending me 10, 8" stop sections, Foam top, plastic end caps and rubber feet. This makes for an awesome assembly line.

Best Track was very helpful and willing to make what I had requested. Wish I would have bought the 2' track section too.

If you don't mind saying, what was the cost per 8" stop section? Or should I have read that differently?

The cost per section was around $9.00. I thought this was a deal! shipping was $16.
