Hey guys- I am building two cars, one graphite (daughter's), one oil (mine). We finished final lube on graphite car last night and it came out very nice.

I am working on my oil set-up (first time trying oil). I have 5 wheels polished through #2 polish of black ice (did not do the final polish step yet). I also did not spray axles yet, but they are polished.

I got anxious and just wanted to compare, so I took the extra axle and wheel, put a drop of DD4H oil on, and spun for a while.

That wheel does not spin nearly as long as my graphite wheels do (maybe 60% as long). I am concerned as I don't think the final polish step and spraying the axles will make enough improvement in spin time.

I am assuming a hand spin test should yield similar times with both?
Do you think the final polish and axle spray will make that much of a difference?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks much!

Oil doesn't spin very long

OK...that makes me feel better. Thanks for the replies. I was worried because of the substantial difference.

I will finish prepping them for oil then.
