If you haven't noticed I don't post on this forum as much as probably should. I usually save it for a strong felt opinion or question. It has taken me awhile to wrap my head around this.. As John knows there is deeper parts of the story that could have happen. I first met OPA/Roger at the beginning of his racing career, believe it or not the oldest rookie "76 or 77" that was enthused to race. We met on the NPWDRL forum and he started coming over to my shop to build and test cars. In a sense we built his first pro car together. Him all the handwork, me, sharing what I have learned and a track to test his cars. Since then 2 seasons later he has welcomed me into his home and we have built and tested a ton of cars together. The hours we spent together needless to say spawned some very interesting conversations which included family, religion, finances and of course life's lessons. Let me tell you this, Roger has been there done that.. lol.
I just thought I would pass this on, this afternoon I spoke to him and his wife. Roger was actually pretty spry on the phone. He told me the entire story and let me say it is a miracle he is alive. In true Roger fashion though, every time I would ask if he was going to be OK he would start talking PWD! I asked him how long the doctor's thought he would be in hospital and he replied "My Unlimited did pretty good, huh" Finally I said "I don 't give a darn about PWD ARE YOU GOING TO BE OK" Long story short, as long as no their are no unforeseen problems he anticipates getting out this week.
Roger the Lord must have more for you to do.. I'm glad things are going better. I praying for you and your family. Hope to see you at the shop soon.
Your Friend,
