Prayers for Opa

Opa & Family---

Dear FaceBook friends and family I share this with you as I have a special Prayer request. I have been involved with a League which races Pine Cars. One of our well known racers was in a serious auto accident on his way home. I would like to ask for every Prayer Warrior to help lift Roger and his family up in prayers..

Dear Heavenly father is there was ever a time your Angels are needed it is now.. I ask for the Spirit of thee Lord to reach out to Roger and lift him as he recovers and to allow his family relief and ease there pain as they watch him recover. I ask for these Prayers in your son's most Holy name ... Jesus Christ AMEN!!!

Well said Papa V. ,

Dear Lord, pray for OPA and his family and the friends that so badly wish to continue their companionship with him in this time of need.
The Lords Prayer has always given me hope in times like these, may we all say it in his name:
Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Opa has to be a tough dude to handle what he did as well as it sounds. Will add him to our prayer list and plan on kidding him again as soon as he has fully recovered !!

If you haven't noticed I don't post on this forum as much as probably should. I usually save it for a strong felt opinion or question. It has taken me awhile to wrap my head around this.. As John knows there is deeper parts of the story that could have happen. I first met OPA/Roger at the beginning of his racing career, believe it or not the oldest rookie "76 or 77" that was enthused to race. We met on the NPWDRL forum and he started coming over to my shop to build and test cars. In a sense we built his first pro car together. Him all the handwork, me, sharing what I have learned and a track to test his cars. Since then 2 seasons later he has welcomed me into his home and we have built and tested a ton of cars together. The hours we spent together needless to say spawned some very interesting conversations which included family, religion, finances and of course life's lessons. Let me tell you this, Roger has been there done that.. lol.

I just thought I would pass this on, this afternoon I spoke to him and his wife. Roger was actually pretty spry on the phone. He told me the entire story and let me say it is a miracle he is alive. In true Roger fashion though, every time I would ask if he was going to be OK he would start talking PWD! I asked him how long the doctor's thought he would be in hospital and he replied "My Unlimited did pretty good, huh" Finally I said "I don 't give a darn about PWD ARE YOU GOING TO BE OK" Long story short, as long as no their are no unforeseen problems he anticipates getting out this week.

Roger the Lord must have more for you to do.. I'm glad things are going better. I praying for you and your family. Hope to see you at the shop soon.

Your Friend,
SoGone Racing/ Dave

Dang Opa sorry to here about this. I only know you from the board but we're family here. So if there is anything I can do or if you want to talk to someone who has been through something similar more than once hit me up, and maybe talk PWD too. I'll pray for your speedy recovery.

As said in a earlier post you never know what can happen next, after the race Opa ask me to help him carry his derby cars out to his Caddy I couldn't help but notice what a nice car it was. Sorry to here the bad news get well get another Caddy and come back and race with us.
