this is my first attempt to drill my own, I set my Fence Where I Wanted Them Centered, When I Put Canting Pin Under It MovEs The Starting Spot Up This Righr Or Is Something Wrong WitH My Set up

Put the canting pin under the Silver Bullet first before adjusting and nailing down your fence..... drill both rears.... re-adjust fence for DFW.

+1 to what 5kids said. Cant pin under the Silver Bullet first then set fence in place.

Raising up one side, with cant pin, moves the fixture in an arc changing the point while the fixture is flat.

Ok I Got TheM Drilled, Tested Great, NoW Cut My Weight Pockets, Rear Axels 5/8 In Pocket 1/2 In 1/4 Deep 1 1/2 Wide, When I Cleaned Out The Corner Some Wood Chipped Out Exposing A Portion Of Axel Hole?Scrap It And Start Over DrillingRearAxels In Farther,?

I do better with pictures. But everyone has different opinions on weight pockets, weight placements etc. I dont think it'll be too bad for you. Try it and see what happens. Also, if able weigh in grams. It's more exact than ounces.

Not commenting on your current position. Next time, drill a small, like 1/16 in the corners of your weight pocket. It'll help keep it from chipping out.

i will now, thought i didnt need to with only a very small amount to cut out thought a exacto knife would take it out with ease.... live and learn im thinking im going to cut a new one out to make sure, im getting pics uploaded now to give a visual to you all

We've run successfully with chips out and such on scout and Pioneers cars.

Certainly need your A game then. If I just drilled my last two blocks and one had a perfect drill and a small chip out of it that could absolutely secure the axle, and one was clean but ever so slightly off. I'd run the perfect drill and chip any day.

oh you're fine. If you're worried about it just cut a strip of 1/64" ply to cover that. Just watch you dont get glue in the hole.

plan on just tape no glue, two rows of 6 behind axles and 2 rows in front to

I'd coat a junk axle with some sort of release agent on it (spray Pam, Johnson's paste wax, pledge, red rocket etc) in the hole and patch her up with a dab of 5 minute epoxy. I don't think I'd use the thin stuff or CA though because I'd want the glue to stay put and not migrate too far inside the hole.

I would not try to fix it. It will work fine as is. There's enough wood to hold the axle where it needs to be. Sometimes I just leave well enough alone. /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

+1 Sometimes the fix will make it worse or cause other issues. I have been down that road too many times.
