Wheels out of the box... or 6 boxes polished up with the DerbyDad4Hire black ice polish process.Looks lean and mean! What kind of wheels you running there?
Nice work on the track both of you!
I know Track to Track can mean different times for different reasons but it’s interesting to see your times. Fast cars man.
Last year I did everything by hand with no tooling including hand-drilling by eye rear axle holes. Mistake. Had to run a bent axle to correct. But kept testing alignment and got it running straight before the race. I also just polished and sanded with what I had. This year I have the drillpress and DD4H’s Black Ice and Axle polish kits and running oil instead of graphite. Real curious to see what happens.
Best my daughters car went last year was 3.08? Can’t remember the thousandths #. New 42’ 4 lane Bestrack on its virgin race.
How often are you able to race each year?
Thanks for posting. It’s been fun watching and your car looks great. Monocote covering by chance?
The steggo tape can be bought at white cap. They are a contractor supply company but, they also sell to the public.I found my LHS has trim monocote for cheap which i'll do. my son wants spiderweb wrap again. But my daughter loves to paint. She'll get the 1/64 ply covering and paint it with her friends at church. Their 2 cars from last year are in my avatar pic. still not sure what I'll close up the bottom with though. I'll post our adventures too.
Please be sure to post your next builds. Those are the best threads.![]()
