Hmmm... good thought. I've noticed vibration is deadly. I've found running three cars is a lot different than running one.

DD4H, just so I'm clear, you still let it spin though, right? So, lube and shine like the other three?

No spin here...slick up the edge of the wheel so it works like a guide pin if it hits.
 
How is the wheel made slick at the contact surface? Material reduction, shaping, lubricants? ...and should the same process be done to the dfw?

Some have used graphite rubbed into the wheel surface that would make contact with the track rail. Rub it in, clean the excess off and you're good to go. A residue on the wheel surface is all you need to make it work.
