VERY TRUE B_Regal ! ! !

Just because you know the ingredients does not make you a chef !

You read the debate about wheels weights and fenders. Its the builder that makes them fast or slow. What is fast for one racer may be slow for another. If JBD or HurriCrane plastered their prep process right here in this thread, you would still be unable to duplicate their speed because of your technique and skill. The best advice I can give anyone is this: buy a set of wheel weights, make DWS fenders, buy the newest oil, use the latest wax, whatever, and give it due diligence in your testing. Learn how to use it / build it the best you can and determine if it is fast for you.

And a Chef can't bake a cake without the proper ingredients !

It's common for Chefs to keep the ingredients of their masterpieces a secret, as they know if given the same ingredients most other Chefs could easily duplicate their results.

The top Chefs on this forum dare not expose their award winning baking process. There are too many other quality Chefs on board that might take that knowledge, add an ingredient of their own, and win the next bake-off.

But the real good chefs can make something great with whatever they have on hand.

And BTW. Chefs don't make great cakes...bakers do.

Soooo.... when are you going to "bake your cake"?

Or, do you have to wait for all the other bakers to tell you what to use for the main ingredients so you can add your one secret dash of vanilla to change it and call it your "OWN"?

Thanks B_Regal that's what I wanted to know. Has he won races with the x3 style?

He came close in May and June 2017 in SS. One of his early SP cars also ran an X3 on the dominant side. He did pretty well with that car as well.

I'm of the belief that much of his success has to do with his prep and attention to detail, rather than that fender design because

1) He's fast in non-fender classes as well
2) Others have tried those fenders (even before him) and haven't had the success. There could be some nuances that he's figured out that other builders haven't, though.

When DD4H put out his Secrets to Oil video, it gave everyone the recipe and directions to be competitive.
You just need to learn how to apply it. Between that and the information on this board, you can run top 5 in just about any oil class. Making this process your own is what will put you on top, at least temporarily.

Greatness is never a product of mediocrity.

And BTW.....have you never heard of a pastry chef?....Schmuck.

Sooooo.... only the cakes that get baked in your oven count? I fear some of you league guys are just never going to get it.:(

I don't consider a cake pastry.

Everybody wait for it...cuz he has to have the last word. I'm gonna start calling you Starrett.
This guy can't not post.

If you want to make snide comments, make sure they're accurate. It's better to keep your mouth shut and let others think you're a moron, than open it and remove all doubt.

Wait for it....lets see if zeeb can keep his mouth shut........

I guess I won't get it til you show me how its done.....so, I guess I'll never get it.....get it?

You've been a "Pro" for a decade, and are too scared to run an oil car, hell, do you even run a graphite car?....laughable, just laughable.

c'mon @Ember after all I did for you. :(

If you take notice, you will find I confront only after being confronted. . There are just some guys that can't help themselves, they open their mouths, and are just begging to be smacked back. Unfortunately, zeeb has on more than one occasion proven to be one of them.

I wonder if anyone has ever called out John Force for being too scared for not ever running a pro stock car.

While you're wondering..do you also wonder if John Force ever trolls other racers who choose not to race in the NHRA ?
