After reading all I could find I understand you use less can't or some even use straight drill when running thin wheels. To say the least I am still confused, it seems like you would want a little to keep to wheels out but will too much slow the cars down? I am using The Block if that helps any with advise.

i run straight with no cant. i have never seen a eliminator with canted rears.
as a side note, at the scouter nationals last year my 13yr old son Wyatt built the Eliminator car named ARC, he even drilled the holes with the block. i do not know how he did it, but there is a very small cant to the axles, the same on both sides. probably about 3/4 a degree or so. that car ran a .0001 faster than FlapJack!!??????????????
there MAY be something to that idea??

it will be there, he wont though, he will be down the road a few miles with his little brother at the district race gathering all their gold
dollarsigns
.
it does not make any sense, the cant is the WRONG way!! i will post a pic later tonight.

I would think any camber would side load the bearings slightly and cause more friction. I drilled all three axle holes on one of mine and ended up with 3/4" drift in 4'. I only ran it once last year (PWDR) but couldn't tell from the video how it was running. IIRC it finished mid pack.

What kinda drift does everyone shoot for with bearing cars?

I remember there being a bearing car a couple of years ago called "Dirt Nasty" that had canted rears. It was a tricked out looking car, I don't recall how fast it was though.

Dirt Nasty is a great looking car, and was fast...for its day. Based on the times being laid down these days, I don't think it would be competitive without an upgrade of some sort. Remember, at that time, bearing cars were an oddity, and there was still a lot of unknowns. It was beating most, if not all cars, as I remember....but I did beat it once or twice towards the end. Unfortunately, any comparative data was lost, as it was all deleted from the board when MSP left....a lot of good information for racers left all at once in a puff of smoke. Unfortunate.
