Great looking car E.T. and like Kinser said Cool Name.

How is everyone mounting the bodies to the chassis?

I saw Jewkes' (?) kit in the videos from way back, but did not get a close-up of what it was, nor did I find it anywhere else. The snap-in, snap-out aspect looks pretty ideal.

ok, here it is, i still have to install the running gear, but the paint is done. the windows are all black.
it is a 2 tone gold/blue gold base with the blue blended in over the gold. not too bad for rattlecans. its name is.....SHOCK WAVE

Ya I didnt think so, i just wanted to get a rise out of ya haha. Love the car. Looks Awesome! Wish I had time to build one...

That looks great!! I just spent about 2 hr's on mine only to slow it down!!! Oh well, I'll have it ready for the next one.

I'll ask this question again: How is everyone mounting the bodies to the chassis? I have several unbuilt models that I think would be simply great to build as actual cars, but I would like to keep the body unmolested (ie: no drilled holes through the sides).

TIA,
- Eric

On my first one I used guide pins in the side of the chassis. That mounted to the body were I attached some wood slots for the pins. On my current one the chassis is the same size as the under side of the body, so I was able to to just put a couple screws in the side. I have seen many different ways of doing it I dont know if one is better thatn the other, tape, glue, velcro, ect. Just use what works best for you and the look you want.

i am attaching with 2 small screws into the wood through the underbody of the car. i am not that far yet, but i will post pics in the next few days.

in the past I would glue a small of square balsa at the FT & Back on top of chassis then use the velcro with a sticky side put 1 side on balsa & 1 on under side of body
