New Items THE FASTEST WHEELS AVAILABLE!!!!!

Here is your chance to get the VERY BEST wheels ever raced in pinewood derby. I HAVE A VERY LIMITED SUPPLY!!! These wheels are my special cut made to the old mold style pre 2009 BSA wheels so they are nearly extinct. I got a supply in and now they will be available to you!!!

It is called the Predator line of wheels. I will let the guys that have run them comment on them here. We have seen an drop of .005 seconds using this line of wheels. They take twice as long to hand cut so they are not cheap and they also are no longer produced so when the supply runs out it is gone!!!

The Cheetah is also gone to a v4!!!

I am also offering the Zeebzob cut for RAZR wheels!!!!

ORDER NOW FOR THE FIRE SERIES!!!!

I guess BASX is no longer a cheap entry level class. What makes them faster? The only thing I can think off is the pre 2009 wheels weighed more to begin with, so more weight will be left around the hub and less around the perimeter.

I had a similar thought, I just bought parts for my first pro car, a BASX build that I'm hoping to finish for fall racing, and now this makes me wonder if I wasted money buying BASX wheels, and I wasn't planning to buy more right away.

If you have the other sets of wheels you can still run them and compete.

I agree. The wheel is just one part of it. Prep is a vastly larger part. There were a bunch of guys with the regular post 2009 wheels that were in the hunt too.
These wheels are more expensive because of the lack of supply and the extra work involved. You're gonna get good wheels from John no matter which ones you buy.

BTW...the Zeebzob cut...HAHAHAHAHA love it. This is why I didn't show the world these wheels until the Nationals.

What's the difference between v3 and v4? Just curious...

(I'm sure I will not understand it, but I had to ask)

Without trying to sound disrespectful, there are plenty of things you can learn from running the old style v3 wheels. You did not waste anything. Prep, car design, weighting, tuning, etc. are all things you have to master before you will see the benefit of v4s. At least that's my 2 cents.

I have a big stock pile of v3 wheels and I'm not worried at the least.

Oh, I know you arent being disrespectful, and Im probably being picky. But Ive never built, or even seen a pro racer before, Ive been collecting the tools and parts that I think I need to build a car.

I was hoping to be competitive right out of a fresh proxy box, maybe its just wishful thinking. A man can dream right?

Is pwd the land of wishful thinking and broken dreams? Hope not!

Ill definately still build my first basx racer, and send it in. Its probably not as big of a gain for basx anyway (again wishfull thinking) Just my thoughts, give or take a penny.

So that's why all the Pros are faster than me...

I was going to order some wheels for Street Stock (this would be my first time to send to NPWDRL). So now I have a couple of options/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif. At the same time I was going to get some for next years MA race. I don't see the Nitro MA wheels now. Do I now just go with the Nitro? What was the difference between Nitro and Nitro MA? Do I tell John to make the Nitro's for MA? Is the MA going to change the wheels they allow for next year?

We have a lot to learn as my kids both took last in their respective MA open oil. Granted, I did not know about the MA wheel modification enough in advance to get the wheels. I should have as there were posts about it on here. I guess I am slow on and off the track.

It's not likely but the rules for next year could change. Once next year's rules are finalized I am sure they will be back.

I meant to ask you about this first!

The Nitros are now cut in the style that the fastest MA car ran. No more reversed.
