Car weights

My turn. Wheel covers have won more top level races and national championships than wheel weights.
You can't argue with the results.

Thanks for the insight. I would assume then, that you're also aware that more top level races and national championships have been won with X3 fenders, than DWS fenders?........ can't argue with results. ;)

Perhaps you should take a moment during Nationals to enlighten DWS , and explain to him how his fenders are inferior to the X3 ?

soooooo... now you are swinging for DWS also?

Are you sure it was his fenders? or was it just that he has a good prep?

Because, you know... he races pretty quick in other classes WITHOUT fenders. Just saying that maybe it isn't all in his fenders (since there are only two classes that he is racing in WITH fenders).

Once again, a case of the selective application of logic. I believe Crane does quite well in classes WITHOUT air shields, perhaps it's his prep, and not the air shields he hawks ?

You actually make my point more valid. DWS has been racing his awesome design for less than a year. In that short time he has won more top level races than anyone running wheel weights. Those same wheel weights that you are praising that have been available for years.

You are wrong in your assumption that I would tell DWS his design is inferior. I actually think he is on to an aerodynamic advantage. I’ll be the first to shake his hand when he wins the national championship.

Was DWS the first one to use those fenders? They were used back in 2010 as far as I can remember. Also Cam Car was the first one lately to debut them again. Back to you Reggie.

I've tried telling some of the history too. These guys just tell me I'm a has been who just longs for the past. Apparently there is nothing to be gained from experience.

So if you truly believe DWS fenders have an aero advantage, perhaps your conversation at Nationals should be with Lightingboy, and explain to him and others how his fenders are now antiquated and inferior ...as you have no trouble doing with wheel weights . Or is your opinion on products based more on who designs and sells them, than how they perform?

Are you saying that the fenders that many of today's top racers feel are faster than X3 fenders, have been around since 2010, and nobody has been using them? Can't be....if that were the case all the top racers would have been using them all these years.

I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut. My question was answered long ago. Just enjoying all of the friendly banter. It seems like you all get along so well.

Wait... HurriCrane won three consecutive national street stock championships using the X3 design that Lightnin Boy came up with... Why would he bash those fenders when they have worked so well for him?

You have a serious head start on stupid!

I am afraid to ask since I saw what happened after a similar question at the start of this tread, but what are DWS fenders?

The DWS or Cam Car fenders are straight on the top and bottom from front to rear unlike theX3 fenders that taper down in the middle and flare back up towards the back. I hope this helps. I don’t have a picture of either one to show the difference.

Mojo is right. I would never do like you suggest and insult Lightning Boy or his X3 design. With Lightning Boy's prior approval, I copied his design and it has served me well. The words antiquated and inferior are yours, not mine. Should the full fender design prove to be needed to be competitive, I'm sure all the top racers will migrate to that design.

My opinion on any product is based on speed and results. If it is not fast enough to be competitive, I will not use or promote it. Can you say the same? I doubt it. You only push the wheel weights to spread bad information and promote your agenda. That agenda is to create confusion and convince people looking for advice to waste their hard earned money. And like most Twatwaffle's, your advice is baseless.

The wheel weights have been on the market for years. They had their 5 minutes of fame where everyone ran to buy them.
As a whole, the hobby has rejected the wheel weights. Not because I don't prefer them but because the wheel weight don't have the result to back up your baseless claims. Instead of crying foul, do something that will change everyone's opinion, win with them...
